• Notes

  1841 census the household was living in Garlick Square, Ardsley, Yorkshire. Occupation Linen weaver. 1851 census occupation Weaver of linen cloth. Living in Ardsley. He was then 65 years old and his wife Ann was 63. His son George was then married to Harriet and they had a grand daughter Lucy, 13. Lucy was working as a house servant and her father George was an agricultural labourer. Son Jonathan was also living in the house and he (16) was already working as a weaver of linen cloth.
